Keeping an eye on what's coming up in the Garden City over the next few months so you can be sure to get in and book your accommodation in plenty of time is always a good idea!
So here's a smattering of the concerts, shows and events coming up you might want to book ahead for!
January 27 - Boyz II Men and TLC at Horncastle Arena
We still have plenty of accommodation options left if you are going to this one!
February 2 - February 4 - SKOPE Classic at Mike Pero Motorsport Park, Ruapuna
If watching (or participating) in cars going very fast around a track is your thing, get your tickets for the annual SKOPE Classic, and get your accommodation booked at the same time. We welcome drivers, support crew and of course anyone in town for the weekend who will be in attendance.
February 8 - Nigella Lawson at Isaac Theatre Royal
Arriving in Christchurch as part of the annual WORD Festival, this will be a night of conversation about food and life as Nigella talks about her new book At My Table, and then a chance to meet her in person and have your book signed. Tickets are still available, so if the eloquent Nigella is more your speed, get in quick!
March 8 - James Blunt at Horncastle Arena
Make a night of it and treat yourself to our luxury motel unit with upgraded complimentary wifi, late checkout and Nespresso machine. Spoil yourself!
March 15 - Neil Diamond 50 Year Anniversary Tour, AMI Stadium
With just two New Zealand concerts on this special anniversary tour, Christchurch is the only stadium show Neil is performing, so you will want to travel for this one if you are outside the Garden City.
April 15 - the one and only Lionel Richie! Horncastle Arena.
This is really bringing back memories. Get your accommodation sorted now and you can relax and look forward to an evening with Lionel and his velvet voice, along with Nile Rogers and Chic - Le Freak!
May 16 - 20 - STOMP, Isaac Theatre Royal
Always a great night's entertainment, STOMP is back and better than ever. Watch eight performers use non-traditional instruments - everything from supermarket trolleys to Zippo lighters, plastic bags to garbage can lids, and even the kitchen sink - to hammer out an explosively feel-good rhythm.
