The fun starts from 6pm in New Brighton Mall, with food stalls and live music while everyone waits for the sun to go down. The fireworks proper start from 9pm, so make sure you have found a great viewing spot well in advance.
Check out details here on where to park and and what buses to catch to get out there - plus check the road closures if you are planning to drive. If you prefer to stay away from the crowds, you can head up the hills for your vantage point.

Coca Cola Christmas in the Park, November 30, 2019
Be there for the magic of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park at North Hagley Park. The country's top singers, dancers and musicians are getting ready to ignite the big stage, performing your all-time Christmas favourites and hottest hits!
Gather your family and friends and celebrate the nation's biggest free outdoor Christmas party! Once again the event is supporting Youthline. Please be generous and buy a light stick or drop a gold coin donation into the collectors buckets.
The show kicks off at 7:30pm. Admission is free, and you are encouraged to bring along a picnic, plus rug and seating to settle in for the evening. Food trucks will be present for extra eats and drinks, and you need to check out the parking which is no longer available on site. If you are staying at the Park, we recommend jumping on the bus outside our Cranford Street entrance and heading into the city with no parking worries.
Event goers are recommended to carpool and park near a convenient bus stop and bus in to avoid looking for a park in the city. The east side of Hagley Park along Park Tce between Bealey Ave and Dorset St will be closed.
Lane drops on Park Tce northbound from Chester St West to Salisbury St, eastbound along Carlton Mill Rd, Exeter St, Bealey Ave, Victoria St and Harper Ave will also be in place. There will be no general public parking in Hagley Park but a drop off zone will be available from Peterborough St to Armagh St.
Some on-street parking will be available in the immediate area around the North Hagley Park entertainment zone.
