Steve & Tammara are the owner operaters of Christchurch TOP10, the latest version of the world famous in Christchurch, Meadow Park. We aim to provide a home away from home, carrying on the tradition of Kiwi hospitality in a modern, relaxed and safe environment. The TOP 10 tagline, Memories for Life, truly resonates with us, Steve still has fond memories of growing up at the park, playing with the kids who would come very year, while Tammara has spent the last 17 years with the park as a backdrop as she made New Zealand her new home.
Meadow Park was purchased as a fledgling motor camp by Steve's parents, Ian & Daphne Gamble in 1969 and over the last 50 years has transformed into one of the largest accommodation providers in the South Island. Born at the park, it's only natural Steve took over the reigns several years ago and now runs the business with his partner Tammara, an Australian import and their 2 kids. The park kids have a great time testing out all our ideas for family fun and are always happy to suggest new additions.
What began as a humble chicken farm, was converted into a motorcamp in the 1950's before being purchased by Ian & Daphne as a temporary business before buying a sheep farm. The sheep farm never did materialise however in the 1980's, the Gamble's became a part of Christchurch history when they installed the original Hydroslides at QE2 pool. Daphne came up with the name Hydroslide at the kitchen table. The park has won several awards over the years and welcomes guests from all over the world.
