The beautiful, sheltered Akaroa Harbour is the only place in the world where you can swim with the world's smallest and rarest Hector's Dolphin!
Black Cat’s Dolphin Swim package consists of a two-hour cruise, which includes half an hour of cruising before a full briefing, about an hour spent with the dolphins and half an hour afterwards for a shower.

Black Cat will provide swimmers with a wetsuit, a mask and a snorkel. You just need to bring your own swimming costume and a towel. After your swim, you’ll be provided with a hot shower and a hot drink. You will also receive a gift pack and photographs of your trip will be available for you to purchase.

A non-swimming option is available.

The Dolphin Swim cruise will depart daily at 6.00am, 8.30am and 1.30pm. An extra trip departing at 11.30am will operate between May to September. Bookings are essential.
