Qualmark

We are proud to be Christchurch's only 5 star Holiday Park!

The Qualmark grading system, which is the official star grading system in New Zealand, provides you with star graded accommodation which is specifically developed for guests.

We have undergone a rigorous assessment which includes cleanliness, safety, security and comfort and offer a range and quality of services appropriate to our 5 star grading.

We also have an Enviro-Silver rating acknowledging our high levels of environmental and social responsibility within our business.

Our assessment includes responsible tourism and sustainability which encompasses a variety of practices we use within our park including energy efficiency, wastewater management, waste minimisation, community involvement, and staff education including sustainability as a core element.

It is our desire to promote our natural environment and continue to plant native plants wherever possible.

History

the original Meadow Park motor camp

The nearly 12 acres of land that is now home to Christchurch TOP 10 Holiday Park was originally purchased by Ian and Daphne Gamble in 1969, as a five year stepping stone to purchasing a farm.

Instead of investing in a rural lifestyle, they developed the motor camp (formerly known as Meadow Park) to be one of the largest accommodation providers in New Zealand.

Over the last ten years the park has moved from a Ma and Pa type operation, to an upmarket 5 star holiday park which today employs 45 staff and is part of the nationwide network of TOP 10 Holiday Parks.

One of the largest holiday parks in New Zealand, Christchurch TOP 10 can cater for hundreds of guests per night. In total, the complex has 85 units or rooms in single or two-storey blocks and 110 powered camping sites, as well as an unlimited number of tent sites without power.

The high standards established by the park's owners have been recognised recently with a new Qualmark rating which means Christchurch TOP 10 Holiday Park is the only one in the city with five stars.
